The first round of marine trials on ACORN’s biofouling-resistant coatings began in August 2014. Sixteen different coating combinations are currently undergoing testing by the University of Gothenburg at a facility in Tjärnö, Sweden, to assess their efficacy at preventing barnacle settlement.
