The research activities of the Centre are focused in four different fields: Marine Renewable Energy, Industrial Systems & Nuclear Components, Industrial Automation & Robotics and Advanced Materials & Nanomaterials. In the Marine Energy Sector, CTC focuses its activity into three different sources: waves & tidal (ocean energy) and wind (offshore wind). The areas of expertise are mechanical and structural design, hydrodynamic and aerodynamic calculations, and analysis of installation maneuvers. The available technologies are targeted mainly to those areas, however they could also be applied to other similar sectors. In addition, an Advanced Materials & Nanomaterials and Corrosion equipped laboratory is also available.
